I live in Basrah (Iraq) where I am a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Basrah. My first degree, from the University of Basrah, was a BSc in Computer Science and I have an MSc in Computer Science from the same university and a PhD in Computer Science in the field of Language Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. My PhD supervisor was Professor Allan Ramsay. My thesis wins the best thesis prize 2014, School of Computer Science, University of Manchester.
